Perkins Park
Perkins Park is a historic oceanfront park along the white sand beaches and rock bluffs of Monterey Bay in Pacific Grove, California. The park had fallen into disrepair, and the community came together to request changes that would make it more ecologically friendly, preserve its fragile coastline, and restore its historic character. The solution highlights the famous “Magic Carpet” while emphasizing key areas for native plants and pollinator species and creating viewpoints that capitalize on the pedestrian experience.
