Trout Creek is an estuary of the Truckee River and part of the greater Lake Tahoe watershed, was in need of restoration due to nearby development of the growing Truckee downtown. Braid.Work, ECI and Waterways, INC worked together to reinforce the streambanks, re-engineer the water channel, and restore the native riparian habitats around the creek. To accomplish this, the team created a custom temporary irrigation system and site-specific planting and hydroseeding mixes to ensure native plant establishment and reach goal-oriented success criteria.
