The City of Santa Cruz’s permanent parklet program followed a temporary parklet ordinance available to local businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Braid.Work developed standards intended to provide pedestrian safety and continuity across city streetscapes while allowing businesses to customize finishes and express their individuality within a durable framework of corten steel and CMU block safety features.
